FACT

It’s important that babies are tested for HIV more than once. They should be tested at birth or within 2 days of birth and at 4-6 weeks old. If the baby is breastfed, they should be tested again at 9 months old, and again at 18 months of age or 3 months after the end of breastfeeding, whichever is later.
